This week, fashion saw a bevy of varied moments from looking at the top-performing brands to show announcements and even new collections. Leading the charge was Prada reclaiming its title as the world’s hottest brand in Q4 2023. On its heels was Off-White announcing its upcoming return to the Paris Fashion Week runway.

Elsewhere, Carhartt curated its first womenswear capsule; Jacquemus held its Spring/Summer 2024 runway show, Canada Goose and KidSuper revealed a new collaboration and Drake’s Better World Fragrance House launched its debut perfume.

Prada Reclaims Its Title as the World’s Hottest Brand In Q4 2023

To see who’s on top and who’s not, fashion onlookers are always tuned into business and statistical reports like Lyst Index’s quarterly reports. With the company’s latest, Prada is once again the world’s hottest brand in Q4 2023.

This is the third time the Italian luxury brand has claimed the title since Q4 2022. Key figures showcase that Prada’s online exposure has risen by 41% yearly due to increased demand in Gen-Z markets.

Miu Miu followed closely behind in the second spot. Behind Miu Miu are LOEWE, Bottega Veneta and Moncler. Additionally, Simon Porte Jacquemus’ eponymous label took the eighth spot for the first time. Check out the full report to see who falls where and why.

Off-White To Return to Paris Fashion Week With “Black by Popular Demand” Show

The late Virgil Abloh’s label Off-White has announced that it will make its Paris Fashion Week return at the end of February.

Under the stewardship of creative director Ib Kamaara, the upcoming co-ed runway show is titled “Black by Popular Demand,” which is a nod to Black history, the label’s return and of course Abloh’s legacy.

Kamara has been at the helm of Off-White since April 2022 and has managed to continue the brand’s success, especially among younger audiences, in his own way. “Youth comes first, with our connection to culture and style,” said Cristiano Fagnani, CEO of Off-White about the upcoming show that will be “fun and playful.”

Carhartt Curates First Women’s Workwear Capsule

Since its creation, Carhartt has become a renowned name in workwear clothes. However, its style has been largely geared toward men. Now for the first time, the brand has curated a women’s workwear capsule.

“Women are entering the trades at a much faster pace than men,” Carhartt’s chief brand officer Susan Hennike told WWD. “We have always shot our photography, done our campaigns, as well as researched our product on real people — real workers. And in doing that with women, we found what she wanted and it was very apparent that she had different needs. We like to think of ourselves as the leaders in workwear and we see a bigger opportunity to lead in women’s.”

The debut line sees classic pieces like Gencel sweatshirts and tees. However, the brand plans to expand to work pants, denim pieces and joggers.

Simon Porte Jacquemus Proves His Sculptural Expertise With Ultra-Modern SS24 Collection

Simon Porte Jacquemus took to Nice, France to reveal the Spring/Summer 2024 collection for his eponymous label. With the designer continuing to showcase outside of fashion weeks, he ensures that the fashion spotlight remains on him every time – while taking to locations around the globe.

For the latest collection, the French designer opted for an exhibition of ultra-modern sculptural silhouettes across womenswear and menswear. To complete the spectacle, guests included the likes of Kylie Jenner, Julia Roberts, Kristin Davis and more.

Canada Goose and KidSuper Launch Adventure-Inspired Capsule for the 2024 NBA All-Star

From his own label to working with the likes of Louis Vuitton, KidSuper’s Colm Dillane is known for his colorful, energetic and maximalist stylings that still hang on to fashion balance – making him a continuously sought-after designer. Now KidSuper has linked up with Canada Goose for a special collaboration that’s a part of Dillane’s multi-year partnership with the NBA.

The new outdoor-inspired capsule has been crafted for the 2024 NBA All-Star. As such, the brand aptly tapped Canadian NBA star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to help launch the collection – with him also becoming a new Global Brand Ambassador.

Drake’s Better World Fragrance House Launches Debut Perfume “Carby Musk”

Aside from music, Drake is now positioning himself to be a fragrance connoisseur with his new Better World Fragrance House label. Now the brand has launched its first fragrance oil “Carby Musk.” The new scent, which is a Drake signature, comes alive with notes of Ambergris, Lily of the Valley, Skin Musk, oakmoss and Amber Woods. Additionally, the scent was conceptualized by Michael Carby of Givaudan.

Outfitted as a rollerball application, the new “Carby Musk” fragrance oil is available now online.
