Milford House Care Home held the show, featuring dresses and accessories from the 50’s and 60’s, taking many enthusiastic residents on a trip down memory lane.

The event was organized by one of the house’s activity co-ordinators, Gale Louw, who is a vintage aficionado.

One resident at the home said: “I just loved the afternoon, it was so well put together and I loved the colorful clothes and the models were excellent and showed off the clothes so well.

“I thought the fashions were great and hearing the descriptions added an extra dimension to the afternoon.

“It was lovely that one of the dresses Jo modeled had belonged to her mother which made it extra special.”

Aga Musial, general manager of Milford House Care Home said: “This was such a fun afternoon which had everyone cheering the fantastic fashions as the models walked the red carpet.

“For many of our residents, the fashions were representative of what they themselves had worn in the past so there was lots of chat and reliving memories which, set alongside Diane’s expert commentary, made for such an interesting and colorful afternoon.

“We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Milford House as part of the lifestyle enrichment program for residents, and this one was us at our most fashionably fun.
